Fersa Bearings bets on wind bearings and grows by 19.3% in 2021
Fersa increases production in all areas, including the wind energy area
Fersa Bearings recorded in 2021 an increase in production in all its business areas (industrial, aftermarket, trucks, and also in the wind sector with more activity in China and the United States) and greater specialization in general, which is reflected in a turnover of 19.3% higher than in 2020.
In 2021, it went from 2 GW of installed capacity to more than 7.5 GW with a total of 2,500 wind turbines of Fersa Group's NKE brand. This represents 4.5% of the total number of turbine installations worldwide and 15% of the total installed capacity in China, where Fersa operates with a premium manufacturer: Envision Energy. The installed power in the Asian giant, which covers 50% of the world wind energy market, is expected to increase by 2022, reaching 20%.
Fersa aims to lead the innovation and technological development of green energy to increase the power density per installed windmill, maximize turbine performance with improved reliability and reduce installation costs through new and competitive wind bearing solutions.
