Fersa launches five new special part numbers for Volvo I-Shift

Fersa Bearings has completed its range of bearings for Volvo I-Shift gearboxes with five new special part numbers: F 15326, F 15345, F 15346, F 15347, F 15348.

The I-Shift gearbox is one of the emblems of Volvo trucks. This model was launched in 2001 and has evolved to the range that we know today. In 2015, more than 80% of Volvo FHs in Europe were equipped with this gearbox.

The main feature of these gearboxes is the integrated control unit that provides complete control of the engine and its twelve gears. This unit evaluates information on speed, weight, slope of the road and demand for torque and applies maximum precision with each gear. The system also communicates with the engine, allowing it to adjust speed and braking power for maximum performance. Thanks to this electronic mechanism, I-Shift saves up to 5% fuel.
